Peer pressure, living up to expectations (their own, not neccesarily of parents/teachers), academic performance anxiety, social stress, stress of board exams, are only some of the issues plaguing young minds today. A lot of these are unaddressed because the young do not like to talk about them for fear of being judged. What they need is a compassionate listener who will hear them out with a kind and open mind.

Listening Post is a safe talking and listening space. A space for students to talk about any issues bothering them. We believe that the very act of talking is therapeutic and that there is no better way to unload than to talk to a compassionate stranger, but in a confidential manner

By sharing their feelings and anxieties with our trained Listening Post volunteers, we hope that your students feel peaceful, get a fresh perspective, and move towards resolution.

We do not offer solutions, but we listen empathetically through a process of active listening so that your students/staff are better able to clarify their thoughts and make the right decisions.

Happy students/staff work better, perform better, and achieve more.

People are free to talk about anything, there is no time limit and they can avail of this service as many times as they wish.

Where we listen

We offer Listening Post at your Campus. We will work in collaboration with your HR/School Counsellors to organise this activity. Our trained Listening Post volunteers will visit your Campus at the appointed time and conduct the activity. These can be worked out as a regular weekly/fortnightly activity.

Create your own Listening Post

We also offer hands-on training to increase Listening Competency amongst selected volunteers within your Institution. Our goal is to create a community that can support their peers. Peer support training is an integral part of increasing compassion within the Campus.

Please call us to know more. We are also happy to develop customised programmes depending on the need.
